Finding the right type of entertainment for your party can be the difference between a successful party and a flop (no pressure!)

To ensure that everyone has a great time it’s important that you think about the time of day that you’re hosting the party, who you’re inviting, and what they will enjoy doing.  If there are going to be both adults and children present then make sure that your entertainment is age appropriate and that the kids won’t get bored.

Here are a few of our favourite types of party entertainment.

Fireworks

If you’re hosting an evening party with a mix of people and ages attending then fireworks could be the perfect entertainment.  At Balloon Works we offer a selection of fireworks so that no matter what your budget is you’ll still be able to give your party the wow-factor.

Themed fancy dress

Give your party a theme and ask everyone to come in fancy dress to make it a night to remember! This is another form of entertainment that is great if you’ve got all different ages attending your party.  It’s also good if you have lots of people who don’t know each other as fancy dress is a great way of breaking the ice!

DJ or band

If you know that your crowd is going to be up for boogieing long into the night then hiring a DJ or band to play at your party could be your perfect crowd-pleaser.

Karaoke

For small parties try hiring a karaoke machine and setting it up for hours of entertainment.  It won’t be long before even your shyest party guests are singing their hearts out.

Drinking games

Popular with younger crowds, drinking games are best kept for adult-only parties.  Only use drinking games if you know that your guests will all be comfortable with them, or if there is alternative entertainment for anyone who isn’t drinking or doesn’t want to join in.
