Try to post a variety of things including photos of your products, competitions, updates on any special offers you’re running, and questions aimed at increasing customer interaction on your Facebook, Twitter and Google + accounts. Advertising on Google is a simple, cost-effective way to reach a large number of potential, carefully targeted customers. It works by focusing on certain keywords that customers might be searching for. You choose your bid amount and whenever someone clicks on your ad you’ll be charged for it. So for example, if you provide plumbing services in Blackpool you could choose “plumbing Blackpool” and “boiler repair Fleetwood” as some of the keywords in your campaign, that way you’ll only be seen by local customers.

Pimp your ride

Using your vehicle as a mobile billboard can be a very effective way of getting your business name out there. Most estate agents have branded cars that they use to attend house viewings, tradesmen tend to drive around in vans emblazoned with their company details. If a customer sees your vehicle driving around their local area often they’ll pick up the phone and get in touch with you.

Give great customer service

If you really want to build awareness of your brand then you need to deliver impeccable customer service all the time. Treat every customer like you would treat your own family and friends. If they’ve received great service from you they’ll be more likely to refer you to their friends, family, colleagues, random people on the bus!
